Can you export Reports as CSV?
Is it possible to export reports in a format other than PDF? I'd really like to do some deeper analysis on our time tracking, so would ideally have the data in a csv or similar.

Hi Paul
We don't support this feature right now I'm afraid. The only workaround I can think of right now is to take the HTML and convert this, but that's not exactly straightforward.

Hi Paul - I don't use the time tracking facility so don't know how the PDF reports look but there is a great piece of software I've used for a few years now called able2extract which converts PDFs to Word, Excel or even Powerpoint files. I use it with lots of applications and, for example, it's been great in converting tables of numbers to excel. Google it to see.
Having said all that Im puzzled why other reports in Freeagent can be exported to Excel (CSV) whereas these can't? -

Thanks for the suggestion Paul, I'll try to find the equivalent for OS X. Meanwhile: Olly - is this on your roadmap? I'd like to use our time tracking data for reporting, but as they are its a hard slog to make the data usable.

Hi, when can we expect to see simple export of reports to CSV? Don't get me wrong I like the look of your reports but this 'view only analogue data' is not very useful.

Please please please can we have the ability to export any data to Excel, etc. I need to be able to provide info to clients about expenses in their format rather than in the invoice. I would like to be able to filter by date, account, etc.
This is really crucial for me. -

We are still here! Waiting for the reports to be 'exportable' :)

I totally support this too, as many of us still need to manipulate our data according to certain preset reports that we use on a daily basis. Especially, when we have 20,000 transactions a year.

I am dumbfounded that you cannot export each and every report. I just expected that to be a given when I signed-up. This is going to create problems for me.

Thanks to @seventy6 who said this on another thread: "i found a simple select, copy and paste from the monthly profit and loss screen to excel works really well." Clunky as all hell, but it works.

Leaving thiings to the last minute (like usual) i thought I would be able to go to FreeAgent and export my profit & loss before a bank manager meeting!
Sadly no the case so i looked like a bit of an idiot turning up with a barely legible "print to pdf" document.
I think exporting Accounting Reports is fairly fundamental! -

I much agree - being able to export the Reports as required is a very important feature. Also Expenses cannot be exported as far as i can see. Its really really important for me to be able to export all my Stuff, and if just for backup purposes. Something to think about.

Hi again - I too add my wish for this to the list. The service as a whole is great but, compared to other bookeeping systems, the reporting function is a weak area and so the ability to export as CSV would be a relief.
Having said that I do "make do" with Export Data and CSV transactions function on the TB report to get data dumps out to enable me to analyse & pivot data to suite my needs. -

+1 to report export. I am, as others on this thread, dumbfounded that reports aren't exportable to CSV. It also looks as though there's no REST API to access report data as XML, either... :/
Not good. -

Please can you add export functionality for all reports :)
