no email template for quotes/estimates

Hi Tom,
Yes, this is something we'll get round to correcting when we've got the time.
All the best. -
-
I think pre-populating the email message with text from the previously sent email does the job.
However, clients always want to know how much a project will cost and how long the delivery will take. Therefore, 2 additional email tags ... [project_start_date] and [project_end_date] ... on the estimate email would be immensely useful. Possible to add these?
Thanks! -

I'd like to save and use a template along the lines of:
Hi [contact_first_name],
Please find attached an estimate with reference [reference], for the [project name] project, for the amount of [total_value].
Let me know if you're happy with this and I'll turn it into an invoice. -
-
I'd also like the ability to create a basic mail template for estimates. It's there for invoices so why not estimates?
Actually it would be nice to be able to "brand" all email going from my FreeAgent account even if that is just with my normal signature (address, phone, disclaimer etc)-
Honestly, it's just one of these we've not got round to yet.
It is definitely on the roadmap but we're really busy with some other big improvements and features right now, so I don't know when that will be. -

Roan, I've got to admit - the FreeAgent services are excellent, the customer support is also brilliant.
However, this was logged 8 months ago - and as a developer myself, I'm sure this one can't be too difficult to implement in a pretty short period of time?
Would love to see this implemented asap.
In the mean time, keep up all the good work. -
-
Identified as a problem a year ago and still no fix? This is super simple to implement why are we still left waiting?

+1 to this request, I end up cutting and pasting a tonne.

Just to add an observation here. I've reported this via the support desk as there is a legal requirement in the UK for certain types of company e.g. Limited, that mandates information in the footer.
Have a look here http://www.out-law.com/page-5536 where this is explained in detail.
Very happy with the service from FreeAgent and it's great to use. -

Its a shame that FAC seem to think its better to work on new features rather than sorting out existing ones to be as good as they can be. I would much rather FAC added zero new features for a year and worked through all these SIMPLE issues and sorted them out before embarking on further additions.
What many companies do is interleave releases i.e version 2 is new features then version 2.5 is improvements alone..... This way your customers get the impression that your working to make your product better. Simply adding new features all the time without spending much time and resources on existing ones simply gives the impression that your more interested in chasing more new customers than supporting valuable existing ones with simple and easily fixed issues.
I hope you take my words as positive criticism, as FAC could be the best platform out there for small business and sole traders.....just not yet.-
I concur ...get the low hanging fruit done with some urgency, just poll your users and see what they would like done first.
Always look after your clients before finding new ones! -
-
I jumped ship - simply due to the attitude towards fixes - now use both wave accounting and pancake payments instead - those guys are focussed on getting existing features perfect before adding new ones - just got bored of waiting for FAC.

I would be keen to see this too. Also being able to send direct emails rather than 'on behalf of' as this seems a little unprofessional as some email clients will show both addresses.
