Remember me on login never seems to work. Tried in Safari and Chrome, neither work?
//edit:
I just realised I had /login appended to my bookmark URL, which was causing me to to go to the login page. Shouldn't it forward automatically?

Hi Robert
If you visit /login it will actually always take you to the log in page which explains what you're seeing. Thinking about it, it probably shouldn't do this if you're actually logged in so we'll take a look at that.
Thanks for letting us know.

It never 'remembers' me, and I definately haven't got /login appended to my bookmark. Tried on various browsers on 2 separate machines. It seems to log me out after very short periods of inactivity, and never remembers my email address or password, despite ticking 'Don't ask me to log in for 2 weeks'.
Only been doing it a couple of months.-
same problem for me. maddening. been doing it for years!

Hi Adam
So that I can have a look into this could you email me at support@freeagentcentral.com.
Before you do that could you visit http://supportdetails.com and email me a pdf of your browser settings as that will really help too.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards

I have the same problem. All was well up until about 2 or so weeks ago. Now it seems to only take about 15-30 minutes of inactivity and I have to log in again!

Hi all
Very sorry about this. There does seem to be an issue here and our development team will be looking into it ASAP. Apologies in advance if it takes us a few days.

Ahem...5 months later, this still doesn't seem to be fixed? Any updates?
It's never worked for me either, using Chrome or Fluidapp on a mac, they both time out within half an hour or so and always ask me to login regardless of what the checkbox has selected. Even asking Chrome to save the password doesn't seem to help, nothing gets autofilled.- view 1 more comment

Since you're using Chrome, Jon, what do you have Content Settings > Cookies set to? Is it set to "Allow local data to be set (recommended)"?

Hey Olly, Cheers for jumping back on this...
I've just checked and Allow Local Data is set, and there are no exceptions either. I've also checked and our freeagent domain has 16 cookies set. Most of them seem to be user preferences like sort orders. The only one that isn't is one called openid, that's it.
I also have a Fluidapp and that doesn't remember me either (and has it's own ringfenced cookies) -

The above is logging in using username and password but...
Additionally, openID login doesn't seem to work with my Google Apps account, I get a message saying that the openid url doesn't match any user in my account... :-/-
Just fixed this using the solution here: http://community.freeagent.com/freeag...
But the first issue around it not remembering me still stands. -

Hi Jon
The OpenID box on the log in page is separate from the Google Apps single-sign on feature:

Sorry if this isn't clear

I am having to log in every time even if I click the "do not ask me for 2 weeks". This has just started happening my login has worked fine in the past.
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Have to log in for every session do not ask for 2 weeks box not working.-
Hi Steve
I have merged this into another ticket tracking the same issue. I mentioned this in a comment above:
We have actually looked into this several times since it was first reported and we have never been able to get to the bottom of it. It's an unusual case of "works on my machine".
I will file another issue and have one of engineers take another look. Really sorry, I can appreciate how frustrating this must be. Not that it excuses any potential bugs, but something like 1Password might ease the pain for you in the mean time.
