How to merge multiple contacts for one company

For a couple of companies I do work for I have multiple contacts - at the moment I am having to set them up as individual contacts for that company but if I want to do a report on just the company I need to look into each contact.

Is there away to merge all contacts under one company in freeagent?

Not at the moment I am afraid. I will, however, add your voice to the 'wish list'.

A possible workaround may be to export your data to an excel spreadsheet, http://www.freeagent.com/support/kb/g..., and extract the data you need for your report this way.

I would also like this.

I often run projects for different teams within the same company and would like to target each project / estimate etc to the project owner in the company rather than a central contact.

I can also add your vote against this on our Features Request List for the technical team to consider, but as you can imagine we receive lots of good ideas and suggestions and we make every effort to implement the more popular features based on demand and available resources.

Is there any update on this ?
As a landlord with multiple rental properties it's quite awkward to have to have a project for each tenant separately rather than combining them in one project (property)

Yes please - any update on this feature?
Often not obvious at time of invoice it's for the same client and later is more difficult to track invoices as they're listed under seperate details - would be good to be able to 'merge'.

Is there anyway to achieve this through the API? Is it possible to change the contact of an invoice even after it's been paid (and locked) ?

Hi Alexander,

The API has the same validations as the web app so I'm afraid it's not possible to change the contact of an invoice after it's locked. Nor is it possible to explicitly merge contacts via the API, although I've added your vote to this request, and when we do introduce this feature in the future, we will make it available both via the web app and the API.
